On Monday 14th July we held a demonstration outside of Wallasey Town Hall during the Wirral Borough Council meeting. Residents showed up from across the Wirral to support the campaign for frack free future.
A petition of 1,417 local resident signatures was presented to the council asking for a motion to stop all forms of Unconventional Gas Extraction in the area. At the meeting the notice of motion was referred to the Council’s scrutiny committee.
The event managed to attract some media attention, with reporters from the Liverpool Echo, The Wirral Globe and BBC North West all there to find out about our cause.
